I was rummaging through Digg the other day and found a great bit about Sega Saturn Pop-Art. When I tried to find the Digg story again though, I had no luck. Maybe it's just me, but the Digg search feature seems utterly worthless.
But not this art! That's for sure. German group Anders Denken has put together a beautiful collection of Sega Saturn Pop Art by artists Elend, K', and Togusa on the SegaSaturn.de site. This is a great example of video gaming culture influencing good artwork.
My hope is that some day the greater art community will pay more attention to the subject matter of video games and give artists who focus on it the respect they deserve. Video game artists unite!
