My Love In You

When you’re feeling sad and blue,
Here’s a shoulder you can lean on,
As constant as my love for you,
Never shall I do you wrong.

Thus I will do all that I can,
To keep you true unto my heart,
Since I want you to understand,
That I never wish for us to part.

For all these years that I have lived,
My quest to find a soul so true,
Seems to be over at your stead,
As I find all my love in you.

You’re all that I have ever sought,
Heard in song and dream and tale,
But all these lines that I have wrought,
Against your kiss become but pale.

Though one thing lacking still remains,
As me and you both are apart,
And I now yearn for your embrace,
That it be soon and it be zart*.

And even when I am most patient,
I loathe this distance and the time,
Not soon enough it will transcend,
To soothe this burning heart of mine.

But in the end I know you’ll wait,
For you are untiring more than I,
As nigh draws our bestowed fate,
When you will here by my side lie.
