Update: For those of you who missed the article, I was able to obtain it from the kind folks at Bootleg Magazine and provide it for you here in digital form. Simply click on the images after following the link to view the pages full size.
The December issue of Bootleg magazine should be of particular interest. Reason being, yours truly is the featured artist and cover story for the new issue! I'm very excited to see this, and can't wait till Monday. Bootleg magazine has been running strong for a few years now, and it gets circulation locally, regionally, as well as nationally (in select locations).
A big thank you goes out to Brian, the mastermind behind the indie rag. They have consistently shined a spotlight on alternative trends in art, music, and literature; among other things. I am hoping that this added exposure will help a little with our trials and tribulations this holiday season.
Bootleg magazine can be found all over town, in coffee shops, art galleries, salons, and numerous other venues. For more information just check out their MySpace page.

Holiday Alternatives
I am happy to announce that Nikki and I have launched our Etsy Store just in time for the holidays. At last you will be able to purchase original artwork and prints of our work online. With our prints selling for $10 each, I think it's a good alternative for this holiday season considering that many of us are in a tighter financial position this year.
We will be adding more items to the store in the near as well as distant future. And don't forget, our art books are also still available online at very affordable prices.
In addition, Nikki has been putting some time into her DeviantArt account, and is accepting commissions through it as well. You will see a lot of new artwork from Nikki on there, and a lot of older works that have not been previously posted online.
Our hope is that this venture will help us financially also. Many of you already know this, but Nikki and I have both become suddenly unemployed... just in time for Christmas! In between hunting for other work opportunities, we are expanding our art sales to try and compensate for things a bit. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Absence Makes The _____ Grow _____
My apologies to everyone for unofficially going on hiatus again. I wasn't expecting it, but sometimes life happens. First, things got busy, and so I have too many posts in draft sitting around. Then things got exciting. After that, things got stressful. Now, things are just plain bad. I'm not going to get into details right now, but I will do my best to get some of these other posts knocked out. Hopefully you'll see them posted soon, but don't hold me to that until it happens.
Aniwave '08 a Big Success
I would like to thank everyone for helping make this year's Aniwave a big success! With the added press we received from Encore, WWAY News Channel 3, as well as WHQR 91.3fm and StarNews, attendance was up significantly from last year. While securing financial support was a challenge this year, several sponsors came forth to make Aniwave a reality.
The festival would not have been possible without the support of Michael L. Glancy, AnimEigo, Sawgrass Gifts, the Cameron Art Museum, and Level 5 at City Stage. We are grateful for all of their assistance. I would also like to thank Tokyo Deli for donating some food items, as well as all of our attendees who contributed with additional donations.
A lot of people helped to promote Aniwave or lend their assistance in various capacities, and I would also like to acknowledge them here. A big thank you to Branson Moore and Aaron Cavazos at AnimEigo, Daphne Holmes at the Cameron Art Museum, the Independent Art Company staff, Ian Moseley at Level 5, Christina Dore and Shea Carver at Encore, Andy Scherr and Joe Mauceri at WWAY, Jemila Ericson at WHQR, John Staton at StarNews, Sarah Scott at New Hanover High School, Analie Foland, Pippin Calame, Caroline Culbert and the Schoonover family.
For those who joined us, you have probably been waiting for the photos from the event; while those who were not able to come may be curious how it all went. So without further ado, you can find photos from Aniwave '08 at the following address...
Thank you all again. I couldn't have done it without your strong support, and Aniwave would be nothing without all of you!
